The Future We Must Never See

Living but dead
Breathing on a time line
Free but in chains
Every face you see is a victim
Desperate for home again...
If there is a home left
You lie in a bed hungry
Yet you are lucky
Here we are chained to a cold floor
Belly down; naked
Our thorn flesh is not offencive to them
Male and female all get penetrated as pass time rituals
I saw a girl
With half a face
To me she said "I was once beautiful"
She begged our captors to tear off my face too
She could not stand what beauty was left of me
If there was any beauty left

We have been turned into animals
Feeding on eachothers pain and ignorance
Screaming for blood every now and then
Blinded to the realities that once bounded us
BROTHERHOOD
Same tongue
Same skin
Same blood... But we are all enemies
My daughter is 12
She doesn't know me anymore
She is a domestic slave
She holds a spoon or a penis
I watch her from this floor
As she performs her "duties" with no expression
There is no life in her eyes
No fear either for she has forgotten the value of life

We used to be beautiful
We used to be happy
We would dance on the streets on new year's eve
Now you are lucky if you die
For only the dead are free from this war
That is if...
Usman isn't holding another chain
Waiting
For you on the other side
For this is not hell yet
Not yet...
