BROKEN RINGS

Time wasted

Tears rolling 

Love wrongly invested

Good byes calling

But I still can't let you go

Hearts broken

Old wounds open

Careless words spoken

Hate awoken

These rings have failed to wrap us in our desires

These walls no longer hold a home but is now a shelter to tired fires

These rings now imprison us in our secret failures

These walls no longer shelter dreams but stands on the rituals of chores

But still, but still... 

Fool in your eyes; I 

Pool in my eyes; cry

I died a millions deaths in your cold arms

But the past refused a decent funeral

To earn your touch I confessed all crimes

But your indifference refused a burial

Still I... Still I can't let you go

Hope has finally advised me to keep my distance

You've sworn indifference and to my warmth built a resistance

Your heart like a broken vault denies me access

So I sail into a new kind of wilderness

Death smiles upon my willingness

A world of beauty only hands me emptiness
