DIFFERENT AND UNASHAMED

We may be different

But in God's eyes we are the same

We may be different

But my strength is being unashamed

Unbroken, undone, without hate...

It's the same red we bleed 

We are human; we are one

We love, we fear, we smile and cry,

We all feel the same pain

Enjoy the same sun, and hide from the same rain

We cast our seeds and pray for the same gain

Different God(s) but the same aim

Take all we have and its just skin and bones that remain

We may be different

We live today, we die tomorrow

Swallowed by the same earth

In God's eyes we are the same

So please stop fighting me

So please stop hating me

Learn to understand

I didn't make me like this

The same hands that crafted you

Also made me... (different)

For a purpose, a reason,

I am beauty in my eyes

And so are you

I am strong and not feeble

You and I; one people 

See me as the same

And not one better

Love me without fear

Love me without prejudice

Love me without shame

Love me with out pity

Or sympathy

Like clothes, the color of our skin may be different

But like souls, the color of our blood is the same

We may be different

But in God's eyes we look the same

We may be different

But my strength is being unashamed

Unbroken, undone, without hate...

It's the same red we bleed

I am different and unashamed.
