Friend...
You have lived up the name to its last definition
You love, you defend, you inspire, you are worth all the people in a nation
You have lived up the name to its last definition
You love, you defend, you inspire, you are worth all the people in a nation
Forgive my exaggeration
But listen to my explanation
One never gets to walk alone with a friend like you
Not just all your words, but your emotions are true
You count the cost of all you say and do
This might come natural for you, but your kind are few
Like a light on a hill you provide wisdom for all far and near
You are a hero 'cos you have exceeded one heart's limit of care
So determined to love, you belittle disappointment and fear
So focus on goals, failure can't hold back your share
You have touched our lives that's why we are here
The food is good, but Ivy, your friendship is rear
A voice for the voiceless
A shoulder for the broken
A light for the hopeless
A testimony for the lost
You are the proof of a success story
And I am proud to be a part of that story
From my heart with love...
