Sunrise,
What does the day hold?
Sunrise,
What does today bring?

I rise up early remembering the defeats of yesterday

I get on my knees and thank God for another chance to win

The opportunities of kindness i missed yesterday

Lord bring them back today

Give me the grace to help

Not because I may be better but because I know what it means to be in need.

For strength I pray thee oh Lord.

This road I travel is rocky

For wisdom I ask to be my friend

For joy to fill my home

For You to remain close and never far.

In Your presence Your favor dwells.

Put love in my heart today Lord.

Love for foes and friends all the same.

Forgiveness too.

Keep me today Lord keep me.

That i may praise You again tomorrow.
